escape the darse choke from half-guard: release half-guard, move to knees, drive forward to sweep opponent, take side control, take mount, move to high mount, move so S-mount, students experiment with S-mount submissions (legs keep shoulders off ground, pull up on opponents head for added pressure)
leg lock from turtle on opponent who exposes his leg between yours, swoop leg through to leg lock.
Kimura on opponent who is on his back, head between your knees, he counters by grabbing thigh, rolling up to his knees and counter arm locks you, roll forward to escape, he counters by controlling leg as you roll, he takes knee on stomach and finishes with "cookie cutter"

On a guy that is turtled up...one hook, kimura lock arm on same side.
One hook in, kimura lock on arm same side, step leg over turn and face direction of his feet and finish armbar. If he defends, transition to oma plata.

Combat guard: overhook one arm, posture broken with other hand holding his head down, counter punch with other arm by bringing elbow to knee, grab wrist, control arm with leg in his bicep. Push leg through to triangle.
Keep overhook, scoot butt out on overhook side, rise that leg up high on his shoulders to keep him from posturing, twist and belly face the mat to finish arm lock with overhook.
